Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

The Dr. Jared App (“the App”) is owned and operated by T&T Digital Media, LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). It is available at drjaredapp.com and as an app for iPhone and Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the App and drjaredapp.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access, correct, or delete it.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, date of birth, full name, gender, password, and (optionally) a profile photo. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and stored only in encrypted (hashed) form; we never see them.
• Health and profile details (“My Info”, optional): details such as age, height, weight, activity level, occupation type, known medical conditions, prior orthopedic conditions, and surgical history, provided voluntarily to help the App generate a more specific exercise plan for you.
• Chat and assessment content: the symptoms, aches, and pains you describe to the Dr. Jared AI chat, the plans generated in response, and your conversations with the in-app support assistant.
• My Chart: facts automatically noted from your conversations so Dr. Jared can remember them (for example, your occupation, past injuries, or goals). You can review and delete these entries in the App.
• Plans and workout history: your exercise plans and their versions, your ratings and feedback on them, and when you start and finish workouts and which exercises you complete or skip.
• Consent records: when you agreed to share information with our AI providers and acknowledged plan disclaimers.
• Payment information: processed directly by Stripe on its own checkout page. We do not receive or store your full card number; we keep your purchase or subscription status, billing period, and a Stripe customer ID.
• Usage and device information: standard technical data collected automatically, such as device type and platform, browser, pages requested, IP address, and error reports. To decide when to suggest installing the web app, we store a random device identifier in your browser along with whether you installed or dismissed the prompt.

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in, plus your browser's local storage for small conveniences (such as remembering a dismissed banner). We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not collect your precise location or contacts.

3. Why we collect it

• To generate your personalized exercise plan and run your guided workouts
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the App — including diagnosing errors, reviewing the quality and safety of AI responses, and deciding which exercise videos to add
• To process your payment via Stripe
• To communicate with you about your account or plan, such as password resets, purchase confirmations, and reminders

A small number of authorized team members can access account information, conversations, and plans when needed to provide support, investigate a problem, or review the quality and safety of the service. We do not use your information for advertising.

4. Important: this is not medical care

The information you provide is used only to generate general wellness and informational content. It is never used to provide, and does not constitute, medical diagnosis or treatment. See our Terms of Service for full detail.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers who help us operate the App, each under confidentiality and data-protection obligations and limited to what it needs.

AI providers (only with your permission)

Dr. Jared's replies and exercise plans are generated by third-party AI models. Before any of your information is first sent to an AI provider, the App asks for your explicit permission. If you don't agree, nothing is sent; chat, plan building, and the support assistant stay unavailable until you do. You can withdraw permission at any time from the Account page.

Anthropic (Claude)

Anthropic is the AI technology provider powering the chat, plan-generation, and support features. We send it your chat messages and Dr. Jared's previous replies; your name, age, gender, height, weight, activity level, occupation type, known medical conditions, surgical history, and My Chart entries; the condition, pain level, and key findings used to build or adjust a plan; and your support-assistant messages.

OpenAI

OpenAI models match plan exercises to our demonstration videos and create a plan's cover image. OpenAI receives only the condition a plan is for (for example, “lower back pain”), the names and descriptions of the plan's exercises, the general body area, and your gender. OpenAI does not receive your messages, your name, or your other My Info details.

Under their commercial API terms, these providers do not use data sent through their APIs to train their models, and may retain it for a limited period for purposes such as abuse monitoring. AI-generated content can be wrong, so please use your judgment and consult a healthcare professional when in doubt.

Other service providers

• Vercel — application hosting, including standard server logs
• Supabase — database storage, sign-in, and file storage
• Stripe — payment processing (your email address, name, and the payment details you enter on Stripe's page)
• Resend — sending service emails to you and error alerts to our team (your email address, name, and the email's contents)
• YouTube (Google) — exercise videos are embedded from YouTube, which may collect information such as your IP address and set its own cookies under Google's Privacy Policy

Our providers process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. We may also share information if required by law, to protect the rights, safety, or property of T&T Digital Media, LLC, our users, or the public, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply.

6. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under state consumer health data laws (for example, Washington's My Health My Data Act and similar laws in other states) and general privacy laws, including the right to:

• Access the personal and health information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your information (see Section 8)
• Clear the optional details you added in My Info at any time
• Withdraw your consent for AI data sharing at any time from the Account page. Your account, your saved plans and history, and account deletion all stay available; the chat, plan building, and the support assistant stop working until you consent again
• Not be discriminated against or denied service for exercising these rights

You can view and edit your details, My Chart entries, chats, and plans in the App at any time. We do not use geofencing around any locations to collect health data or infer health status, and we do not sell health information to third parties. To make a request, email hello@drjaredapp.com; we may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within the time the law requires.

If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another place with similar laws, you also have the right to data portability and to object to or restrict certain processing. There, we rely on performing our contract with you, your consent (including for health details and AI processing), our legitimate interests in running and improving a safe service, and our legal obligations. Where we transfer your information outside your country, we rely on appropriate safeguards. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

7. Data retention

• Active accounts: we retain your information for as long as your account is active and you continue using the App. Chats, plans, and My Chart entries you delete in the App are removed from our database.
• Deleted accounts: once an account is deleted, we permanently remove your data within 30 days, except where we're required to retain limited records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes (such as payment records, which are kept without your name or email). Diagnostic records, such as a condition our video library could not match, may be kept but are no longer linked to you.

8. How to delete your data

You can delete your account and its associated information at any time:

• in the App, with Delete account on the Account page (this takes effect immediately);
• on the web at drjaredapp.com/delete-account; or
• by emailing hello@drjaredapp.com from the address on your account. We will confirm completion within 2–3 business days.

9. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, database access rules that let each account read only its own records, and administrative access limited to authorized team members. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us right away.

10. Children's privacy

The Dr. Jared App is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we've collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it promptly. If you believe this has happened, contact us at hello@drjaredapp.com.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via in-app notice and update the Effective Date above, and where required (for example, a new category of data sent to an AI provider), ask for your consent again.
